Are you concerned about cold weather shipping? Fear not, as we have an amazingly successful tracking record all 12 months of the year. Yes we have some losses, but over 97% arrive in excellent condition. Our standard shipping practice during extreme temps above 80 and below 40 is to package each item wrapped in bubble wrap for insulation benefit and to shield from extremes from ice or heat packs. Then we wrap the products in a foil insulator. We then place this within a thermal insulation sleeve with heat or ice depending on the seasons needs. Our heat packs range from 40-60-90 hours. Due to the increased shipping costs, our DOA policy was updated this summer as follows.


We guarantee live arrival of all deliveries. During extremes we limit our guarantee to replacement of products, and shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. However we provide 100% replacement for product and shipping for either of the following customer options.

1. All deliveries with paid or free 1 or 2 day shipping. (We are fully confident that our packaging will achieve 100% success in these time frames.

2. All deliveries who upgrade to styrofoam shipping containers. Yes these offer greater efficiency and protection, but too costly to include without a price increase, so we allow customers the option as they can determine the needs for their geographical region. Please choose this option when high temps are above 80 or below 40 to ensure 100% success or FREE replacement.

Another option to consider, which I see our favorite online fish source has adopted. This would be to have your order delivered to a UPS pickup location. Then you can get it from there without having your product spend additional hours in an unheated panel van.
