Brine Shrimp, Artemia salina, are an excellent choice for finicky feeders in your saltwater or reef aquarium.
Brine shrimp can provide a much needed benefit to certain species in your aquarium. they are especially suited for feeding sea horses, pipefish, and getting newly acquired live stock to eat until they can be weaned to prepared foods. on e draw back is that they have a lower nutritional profile, so species must consume a lot more to meet their needs. Live brine shrimp need to be gut loaded for at least 24 hours to offer optimum nutritional value. We combat that deficit by rearing and shipping brine shrimp in our custom blended Phyto Buffet which is packed with HUFA (Highly Unsaturated Fatty Acids) and add Selcon to enhance their nutritional Profile even more when packaged for shipping. This means that the brine shrimp you receive from us are loaded and ready to feed upon arrival. and can be stored in the refrigerator for continued feeding.
